As someone who went to #EGX when it was still called EuroGamer Expo I feel sad that the UK has lost one of the truly exciting gaming events of the calendar. The Earl's Court era was untouchable. Multiple day tickets was a requirement. I feel like we deserve something similar 🫤
Please @NoMansSky I am begging you to release some paid DLC. In lieu of that I've now bought the game across PS4, PC (GOG), and Switch. I just want to support all the years of amazing work and free updates 😅
It's fun seeing Autonomous Agents popping up all over the place given Microsoft's AI Tour in London today. Reminded me of my CompSci paper on Autonomous Agents in Interactive Environments back in Uni. But in truth it was partially so I could play videogames as research 😅
Friday I took a walk and saw a black cat laying in the sun. It looks at me, meows, rolls over. I meowed back, gave it rubs, wave and walk on. He RUNS after me. Looks up. Meows. We walked side by side for quite a bit chatting away. Then he left 😅 Still thinking about it.
Consoles going digital first isn't the problem. DRM of that purchased content is and gets ignored by way too many.
I sometimes miss when the sound from different gaming consoles was as much a part of its personality and identity as the graphics and external design. Play music from Game Boy, SNES, MegaDrive, etc and you can immediately tell the difference.
