Summer project wrap-ups, part 2🎉 @UML_Biology junior Kelin Funes returned for a second summer, this time as an NSF LSAMP fellow through @UML_OMA! 🙌She expanded her project & also helped wrangle team NuRD (the new sophomores) as they pulled their story together for publication!
The Lee lab loved hosting fellow worm labs @MondouxLab & @KarlFredVx at UMass Lowell for our (second, hopefully at least biennial) Mind Meld! 🪱🤓 We caught up on science via mini-talks, chatted over lunch, & had a bubble tea-fueled campus tour led by official UML guide, Thiago!

To cap off a fantastic #NESDB2024 weekend, master's student Deepshi @a_deepshi won BEST GRAD STUDENT POSTER!!!! 🤩 We're submitting her manuscript very soon, and I couldn't be more proud of her hard work & insight on this story about NuRD's role in germline DSB repair 🎉
🥳CONGRATS to our two seniors defending theses for @HonorsUML: Michaela Dillon & William Miguel! They were my first @UML_Biology trainees in the brand new (and in 2020, still imaginary) Lee lab. It's been incredible to watch them grow as scientists & leaders in @KCSciences_UML🤓
🎉HUGE CONGRATS to Deepshi Ananthaswamy (@a_deepshi) for defending her @UML_Biology MS thesis last Friday! It's a flex when someone leaves their defense questioning saying that "it was such a fun conversation!" You'd be lucky to have her, so look out for her PhD apps this fall!
