🎉HUGE CONGRATS to Deepshi Ananthaswamy (@a_deepshi) for defending her @UML_Biology MS thesis last Friday! It's a flex when someone leaves their defense questioning saying that "it was such a fun conversation!" You'd be lucky to have her, so look out for her PhD apps this fall!

Made it to the afternoon poster session to catch the rest of the Lee lab undergrad posters! 🥳Rising senior @alliesciarratta, who'll be doing her @HonorsUML thesis next semester, and sophomores Thiago Borges & Kelin Funes, who were inaugural @umlrhsa Roads to Research Fellows!
Not only did our undergrad Arthur win an NIH DSP & @GeneticsGSA award to attend his first conference #TAGC24, but he took to it like a fish to water! (or a worm to OP50??) He stayed out making friends, made it to all the morning sessions, AND asked a few questions to boot. 🤩
I’m so excited about the opportunity to have shared our story on heterochromatin and development! #TAGC24 was a great time and I’m thankful for the opportunities to connect with others and learn from their work!
The featured speakers in the worm sessions get walk-up music! 🎶🪱🎵 And @Katz_Lab is being tight lipped about their selections, so the only way to find out what @OdedRechavi, king of the tweet, has picked is to join us.... My tech @ScottPRoques is also making his talk debut!
