For 11 years we held the annual “Rick Mast Golf Classic/Concert”. It was hugely successful. At some point about every driver made the trip up here to help out. I’m gonna spend this year posting some pictures for you. Here’s the first memory. You might recognize him

Back in 1994 at the Spring Nats I got to meet Don late Saturday night in the garage area, it was probably around 10 pm. I was walking through the area and saw him and some of his crew working on the car so I went up asked him to sign something and we talked a bit. Nice guy!

Today my uncle passed away. He was the last uncle I had. I don’t know of anyone that fought harder and overcame more in life to succeed the way he succeeded. The world was a better place because of him and there is now an empty place that will never be filled again.

Even back in the ‘60’s the race cars weren’t exactly stock factory models, although they certainly looked more like them than now.
