Dale Earnhardt accepts his gold replica car from Goodyear at the 1990 Awards Banquet He has a cast on his hand because he whipped a guy's ass for hunting deer on his property

Every little bit helps!!

Wanna know what working hard to go fast looks like? It looks like 15 Bud decals stacked one on top of the other in front of the roof cam because it was a count or two less drag in the wind tunnel. The Eurys were hard workers.

Turnin' right at Sonoma. Look at the placement of the contingency decals and the number on the roof, shows you just how 'round' these cars really were.

Wow, 12 yrs. I haven’t done much Tweeting in the last several yrs but I’m still around once or twice a week, mostly reading Tweets instead of making them.

For 11 years we held the annual “Rick Mast Golf Classic/Concert”. It was hugely successful. At some point about every driver made the trip up here to help out. I’m gonna spend this year posting some pictures for you. Here’s the first memory. You might recognize him

If you're unsure of Ken Squier's impact on our sport? He's the only non-competitor not named France ever inducted into the @NascarHall. A good friend and great mentor to so many of us, 🙏🙏🙏for a complete recovery.

At the request of the family, I’ve been asked to pass along that Ken Squier has been moved from home to Copley Hospital in Morrisville Vermont, where he can receive a higher quality of care as he continues to battle the COVID-19 virus. Prayers to him and the family.

I needed some tires so I stopped in to see my buddy Punchy Whitaker in Concord NC. Punchy showed me a paycheck from when Dale Earnhardt Sr worked here in 1973. Very cool. @DaleJr

I mentioned the Wrangler ad featuring Dale working out on this week’s episode ... and lo and behold ... here it is. I’d be willing to bet I’m the only person reading a 1983 issue of Grand National Scene over lunch today.

Back in 1994 at the Spring Nats I got to meet Don late Saturday night in the garage area, it was probably around 10 pm. I was walking through the area and saw him and some of his crew working on the car so I went up asked him to sign something and we talked a bit. Nice guy!

Today my uncle passed away. He was the last uncle I had. I don’t know of anyone that fought harder and overcame more in life to succeed the way he succeeded. The world was a better place because of him and there is now an empty place that will never be filled again.

Even back in the ‘60’s the race cars weren’t exactly stock factory models, although they certainly looked more like them than now.
