The Panthers’ prospects play their first of three games at the rookie tournament in Nashville today at 3 ET. While I don’t think any of the players will fight for a roster spot this year, a good weekend can help the youngsters get a camp invite with the defending Cup champs.

Appears Lorentz is signing a PTO with Toronto, per @FriedgeHNIC Big, strong forward, who had some very good moments in the playoffs with the Panthers. Also one of the nicest guys in the league.
With Nick Cousins signing in Ottawa, Steven Lorentz is one of two players from the Cup winning team without a contract -- which is very surprising. He can play playoff hockey. 36-year-old Kyle Okposo is also a free agent. He hasn't announced if he's retiring at this time.
