I am sorry to start a Saturday morn this way, but this is bad. This is really bad. The Westminster govt is apparently looking at changing current childcare ratios (1 adult to 3 babies) to something worse: 1 adult to 5 babies. This will create biologically damaged children.

Lead from the heart. ❤️

So true I think many get caught up in ego, status, power, job titles and forget it’s so important how staff think / feel working for you. Lead with the heart - our staff are invested in our vision because they know we care and value them - we are all one 💙

Prisons are warehouses for traumatised people. We can have a society that embraces healing or humiliation. We can’t have both. If you want healing, Timpsons has a proven track record that shows how that is possible. And for the skeptics: Nope, healing doesnt = no boundaries.

Instead of making offenders wear high viz jackets in chain gangs, how about helping them get a real job instead? In my shops we employ lots of ex offenders and they wear a shirt and tie. Same people, different approach, a much better outcome.

In working with addicted trauma survivors, we face the dilemma everyday of unwittingly exposing clients to the very stressors that trigger the need for relief in substances. It takes courage, support and time. They never got wounded or addicted in one day. Healing is messy ❤️‍🩹

Met a boy tonight, he said: I watched you on YouTube and you said, “hurt people, hurt people, and that most people hurt people from a place of woundedness not wickedness. You answered my whole childhood thank you. I have been healing ever since. You never know who you reach😊

It’s 2021 and we still can’t treat substance abuse effectively never mind the trauma that underpins it! Same old rhetoric, no action! Why? #SDFTrauma

Humans are creatures of adaptation. In a harsh environment we will harden ourselves against it! We will conform our of fear not respect, or seek medication for relief. We warehouse human suffering, and then send people back to the community unhealed. #AWoundedSystem

#TimeBBC #Time "Excruciating, painful, scary, dangerous, heartbreaking, hard to watch..." Why? What's the problem? As a society this is what we mean by "rot in prison." This is the revenge we crave. Prison is 'punishment by hopelessness' sublimely portrayed by cast and writers.
