Today we rewrote our lightning ingest code. We had rewritten it once late last year and it had been working great. Unfortunately our provider's systems have been dropping our connection lately so things had to be improved knowing that. Let us know if you see any irregularities.
Yesterday we rewrote the SCIT placefile from scratch due to some complaints. Now we need feedback on the efficacy if you have any. All cells are currently being plotted but we plan on adding filters (dBZ, height, speed). We'll be putting the product timestamp in the feed title.
Super-Res Correlation Coefficient is now available in GRLevel3 v3. Stop Polling > Configure Polling > Check that your AH Polling URL is entered > OK is all AH customers will need to do.
QPF Day 0 has been added (6 hour forecast) to the data feeds. Day 0, 1, 2 & 3 are now available.
Here are our hail alerts in action. We're processing every scan but plan to allow you to choose for alerts to be processed every half hour to reduce the frequency. Size, household # and income are all configurable filters. Currently email only but adding text messages shortly.

We have reactivated our direct feed to the FAA for METAR/SPECI data. This will result in the data being displayed slightly faster by avoiding the middle man (NWS).

Brief Level 3 outage upstream. Things are back above 75% but we’re still seeing quite a few sites not reporting. Level 2 is 100% available in the Eastern, Central and Southern regions as is our Super-Resolution Level 3.
Our services were under attack for roughly 3 hours this morning. This attack has since been mitigated with no impact to service availability. You may receive a challenge when visiting AllisonHouse.com or GREarth.co as part of this mitigation.
GAWX in Lawrenceville, Georgia has been added to AllisonHouse and Iowa State Level 2 data feeds. This radar offers 1 minute scans and as of right now, the file sizes are ~20MB with little to no returns meaning they will be significantly larger when there are radar returns.
Issues with Mesonet hover text sampling in GREarth have been resolved. This same fix will be applied to other affected feeds (due to the new Placefile Specification being used) once the Critical Weather Day has ended.
It is now possible to select Road Temperature in the Custom Mesonet feeds. We are troubleshooting the erroneous numbers which appear to be due to the reporting site using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. Nebraska seems to be egregious at mixing the two units so we'll need to add QC
