Happy #WomensEqualityDay2019. Hazel Winifred Johnson was a nurse stationed at the Presidio's Letterman General Hospital, 1963-1966. In 1964, she was named Letterman's outstanding Army nurse. In 1979, she became the first African-American female general in the US Army.
