Nice paper. With the brief of DL techniques, it highlights the importance of cross-validation in evaluating small datasets. Most RS papers use accuracy for validation, which I believe it is quite vague. Precision and recall, or F1-score are recommended. sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

This paper uses @_DASOS_ and showed that classifications results were better when metrics from DASOS were extracted than LidR, especially when combined with the spectra data. Read the paper for more info on what metrics were used 👇👇

mdpi.com/1999-4907/14/5… I am happy to share one more result of my PhD thesis, about tree species classification in tropical forest. We combined UAV hyperspectral images with discrete and FWF LiDAR data. Working with tropical forests is challenging, and we achieved an OA of 73%.
