This is ridiculous. Thank you @MatthewGress for standing up to these tactics. As Treasurer, I will work with the legislature to fight school districts who are blocking access to financial transparency so we can help prevent waste, fraud, and abuse.

The Tolleson Union High School District wants to charge me $26,000 to access basic financial records as a way to discourage such requests. This is a flagrant disregard of legislative oversight.

💯💯💯 correct!

Every dollar of Arizona’s ESA program is tracked and accounted for — it doesn't get more transparent than that. But if you expect that same level of transparency from government run schools, don't hold your breath. That's not right.

Arizona’s school voucher program, the first in the nation, proves one thing: low-income families are left behind. Data shows that the poorer the ZIP code, the less often Maricopa County residents used vouchers. Why? Private schools are far away, and vouchers don’t cover the full…

We need to protect our school aged kids from bullying. A 2023 national survey showed that almost 50% of parents had moved their kids to a different school due to bullying or safety-related concerns.

Maybe @MayorGallego should focus on her own MASSIVE failures with the city of Phoenix budget, instead of taking cheap shots at Arizona families using the widely popular ESA program. After all, Kate went to a $29,000/year out~ of ~state school for K-12. So predictable.
