The demise of Twitter is sad for many folks, but every cloud has a silver lining. Or, as they sometimes say in Norwegian... over skyene er himmelen alltid blå. It means “above the clouds the sky is always blue”
One of my favourite German words to say aloud is Flurfunk. It describes gossip or rumours that spread through the workplace and means, literally, "hallway radio." On a related note, a Finnish word for gossipers is kahvipöytäparlamentti. It means "coffee table parliament."
