When you constantly elect people who proudly say government doesn’t work and they intend to prove it, you end up with incompetence as a feature and not a bug. Competency matters over ideology or at least it should. We are an intentionally failing society and government.
QAnon believers are not uneducated or stupid. They're misguided and have given in to their worst impulses and fears. But everyone is capable of that. Casting then as drooling morons is a bad idea that will backfire.
