This is such a great paper! We all know that patients with Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia are such a heterogeneous group - this paper breaks the bulk of patients down into relevant clinical "sub-phenotypes" academic.oup.com/cid/article/do…

meanwhile in the southern GBR.. mass coral bleaching (& recent mortality) at all reefs & sites surveyed this weekend, affecting vast majority of genera & all size classes; unfortunately, slope (~8m) almost as severely affected (~80% of colonies across sites) as the crest (>90%)!

Mass mortality currently unfolding in the northern Great Barrier Reef. This isn’t an isolated site: an entire 8km long fore-reef flank that three months ago was >80% coral cover. After 6 DHW >90% of these colonies are either bleached or dead.
