It’s been four years to the month that I had my ACL surgery. Suddenly, my knee is swollen, and I can’t bend it to its normal range of motion or walk on it, and it hurts. Ouch.
Halloween is my favorite holiday. My partner and I spent it moving in together. She came home from work & gave me a Halloween card telling me how much she loves me & surprising me with box tickets to the @TeamStarKid Jangle Ball Tour. I cried. I am so thrilled and in love.
If you need something to lift your spirits a little, you should know that my partner and I sometimes sleep like otters, holding hands. 🥺
Rewatching all of Stranger Things again and Ted Wheeler just said, “They’re our government; they’re on our side.” When I say I laughed out loud… and then cried a little.

Really starting to think I might have ME/CFS. I know it’s not just all in my head. What are recommended next steps? What kind of support can I get? How do I get diagnosed? How long does the process take?
Why, when a disabled person is excluded and not accommodated in a work environment and it leads to problems with executing the work, is the solution to ask the disabled person to step down or do something different, not to ask others to accommodate? It feels wrong. I don’t know.
How the fuck is anyone keeping it together?
The only phone calls/FaceTimes I will always answer unannounced are from my 3 year old nephew. He met my cat for the first time tonight, and the smile on his face was quite possibly the greatest thing in the world.
