We have a signed contract to buy 88 F-35 fighter jets. We're the ones threatening to cancel that deal over a trade dispute. The American response is fine, but don't expect a further trade deal and our Laurentian Elite claim this is extortion by the Americans. It's the opposite.

Every Canadian understands the extortion game being played here. But we have tons of leverage. Things the US needs. We won’t be bullied into a bad trade deal. Why is our anger red hot? It’s right here. Every word the Ambassador speaks reinforces it. thestar.com/politics/feder…

Perhaps, in hindsight, it wasn’t that veterans were asking for “more than we are able to give right now,” so much as government was taking more than they were supposed to. Shameful. Veterans deserve justice, not legal tricks.

Abraham Lincoln wasn’t the main speaker slated the day he gave the Gettysburg Address. Rather, Edward Everett gave a two-hour long speech that was over 13,000 words long. Lincoln’s, which is better remembered, is only 272 words long.

Mark Carney's budget is a farce built on parabolic gov't spending, saddling taxpayers with even more debt while our economy is flatlining. If the budget passes (as is likely) Cdns will rue the day they fell for Carney's word salads. You've been warned by this guy ⬇️

Interim PBO Jason Jacques: less than 10% chance the Liberals stay within their deficit targets. Translation: the budget is fantasy. We’re not “on track” we’re off a cliff.
