The reception to Stranger Things here is a good example to me of the death of ‘fine’ between ‘masterpiece’ and ‘terrible.’ It’s not exceptional TV and mostly playing safe, with sharp highs and lows, but it’s very watchable, sometimes moving and mostly does what it sets out to do.
