One of the things I love most about our strategy community is the collaboration & sharing of information, knowledge & resources between peers that help us become better at our jobs. With that in mind, I’d like to share some of my favorite strategy resources that have helped me!
Brains always settle on the conclusions that are easiest to justify to others, not the ones supported by the most evidence. The only way around this is to enter into a social contract in which accuracy (or reducing harm) is the most justifiable goal among peers.
Humans make a lot more sense when you accept we don’t hold the beliefs or attitudes that have the most supporting evidence, but are easiest to justify at any given moment, given the salient risks and rewards, as we pursue basic, primal goals like belonging, status, snuggles, etc.
I’m sensing a palpable tension in the air that suggests we are about to fail the marshmallow test on a national scale.
