We congratulate Dr Sajesh Vijayan @sajeshksv a recent PhD graduate from the @BEElab_iisertvm for winning the coveted HFSP postdoctoral fellowship to carry out his postdoctoral work @westernuBio. @tvmiiser
Prof. Raghavendra Gadagkar @ragh_gadagkar was the external examiner for Sajesh's defense. He interacted for hours with students who hung on to every word of advice, his experience and his critical comments.
We congratulate @sajeshksv on successfully defending his Ph.D thesis on the #VisualEcology of the giant honeybee #Apisdorsata. We are very happy for you Dr. Sajesh, may you guide many more bee-enthusiasts. He is currently pursuing a post-doc in @NatashaMhatre lab.
We have Prof. Raghavendra Gadagkar (@ragh_gadagkar), CES, IISc Bangalore on campus for our institute colloquium, on the topic "Can we understand an Insect Society?" Prof. Raghavendra is an honorary professor at CES and studies the origin and evolution of cooperation in animals.
