Arkamitra Mitra next up, sharing her work on fungal diversity within ant shelters of the endemic ant-plant Humboldtia. This is a plant that has a mutualistic relationship with an ant, which in turn has a mutualistic relation with a fungus! What a system! #cesihs19


Movie time: The minefield: a minidocumentary on antlions by Shuaib and Avik. Antlion larvae make pitfall traps to capture prey like ants. #cesihs19


Kesang speaks about species distribution modeling for endemic & rare species of western ghats. What is species distribution modeling? It's a technique that helps predict where species are likely to be found based on few known presence locations. #cesihs19
