Class 5 learnt how to propagate asexual plants. Using geraniums , spider plants, strawberry plants and mint, we were able to take cuttings to create our own new plantlets. We will observe them over the coming weeks.
This week members from 'The Yorkshire Building Society' have been visiting classes. Yesterday, Class 5 learned how to book a perfect holiday on a budget. This included booking flights, accommodation and entertainment for a full family.

Y3/4 cricket team went to York yesterday for the North Yorkshire region cricket competition. We were drawn in a strong group and unfortunately didn't progress to the afternoon finals. They played some awesome cricket, with some excellent batting, bowling and fielding on display.
We’d like to thank our friends at Hutton Rudby Primary School for coming this afternoon to play some netball. We had a great time!
Thank you very much for all the amazing entries into the Maths Scavenger Hunt competition! There were some absolutely fantastic entries and Mrs Jones was so impressed with all the effort that has been put in. Every pupil who entered has been given 5 merits. Well done!

Another day of cricket today for our Y5 and Y6 teams at Richmond School and Sixth Form College. The girls team finished in 3rd place and the boys team finished in 2nd place. Well done all!
Yesterday we had a fantastic time playing Maths 24 at Richmond School. The team played extremely well and won the competition overall with a whopping 1078 points. The team showed great sportsmanship and etiquette when playing each school. #bestversionofyourself #HumanCalculator
Yesterday Year 4 had an exciting history day full of investigating and exploring in the classroom and at the Jorvik Viking Centre. They were all super historians and learnt all about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings!
