Spanberger wins in a walk. Dem lt. gov. wins easily. Jones wins (seemingly comfortably). Virginia will now redistrict. Sherrill wins in New Jersey. The thing about Trump is that he's a great campaigner, but a terrible president. People forgot that, and have been reminded of it.
However bad you thought this night could be for the Virginia GOP, it's worse. Spanberger likely wins by something close to 15, and the open question here is if Jay Jones matches Kamala Harris. Spanberger probably enters office with a healthy trifecta.
As it turns out, being the party of creating a paramilitary federal police force who performatively dehumanizes and brutalizes anyone who looks like they just might not have been born here wasn't a winning strategy for the GOP.
