Who says retrieval practice is boring!?! Make it competitive and collaborative. Students will eat it up like in this “Notecard Retrieval Chain” where they had to retrieve three causes, effects, and solutions for deforestation in the Amazon with each student adding one new detail.

Dear Texans, Trump is going to take away Special Ed funding and Title 1 funding. Abbott is going to take away public school funding when he passes vouchers. 75% of Rural counties do not have private schools. Pub Schools are the top employers. Doesn't sound good for Rural Tx.

To teach is to show or explain how to do something. I can plan to teach a lesson. I teach the lesson. But that doesn't guarantee learning. If I design for learning instead, I will have made all the purposeful & intentional choices required to produce evidence of learning.
Ask yourself this question: "Why hasn't Gov Abbott come to sell vouchers at my Public School if vouchers are so great?" Well Why? Why hasn't he gone to rural Texas where there are no private schools to sell vouchers?
