With it being National Volunteer Week. I would like to tell you that our Volunteer Safer Business team working in the Great Border City of Carlisle, volunteered over 180 hours this year engaging with businesses. & dealing with incidents. Great work by our dedicated team. 👏👏
Big thank you to officers from @Cumbriapolice for their response to a number of incidents of business crime within the city centre today. Store staff, security staff and customers appreciated your involvement today especially in one violent incident within a store. Great work 👍

Some great work carried out stopping stock from being stolen this weekend. 1st store recovered over £500 from 2 prolific offenders. 2nd recovered over £1100 of branded clothing from a female. Female then arrested. Great work everyone. Our BCRP is working hard to reduce crime. 👏
Very busy day for our volunteer safer Business team.Lots of good intel gathered and engagement with members. It’s all about partnership working. 2 males detained for theft & goods recovered. To end the day off store security staff had another great recovery of stock 👏👏
1 of our prolific offenders decided to breach his CBO twice today to carry out thefts from member stores. Due to dedicated security officers seeing him offending, this male was detained and then arrested. Great work guys 👏👏 a night in the cells for him or maybe longer.
Nice to be assisting Sgt Adams in Workington visiting businesses with information about the new business crime reduction tool Disc,lots of positive feedback about signing up to this new tool for the area. Hopefully there will be more engagement between Carlisle and the Allerdale.
Nice day out carrying out face to face engagement by your BCM. By being out on the streets resulted in a nice £450 stock recovery from a active offender in the city centre. All stock returned to stores, this is your BCRP membership fee recovered in one incident. Nice ROI. 👍
Busy week for business crime incidents. Safer Business team volunteers out on 2 days last week. Gathering intelligence and supporting businesses. Saturday very busy dealing with young offenders for theft and ASB within stores. More proactive work being carried soon.
2 of our Business Crime team volunteers were out on Monday gathering intel and came across a prolific offender concealing washing powder, female approached and all stock recovered & banned from the store. Well done guys especially working on your day off. 👏
First offender of 2023 detained yesterday for theft of £250 of fragrances. Stock recovered and male now banned from a number of businesses.Male advised to obtain medical attention after he said he was on a 4 day drugs binge. Hope he took our advice.
Our Volunteer Safer Business Team out and about today. Some good intel gathered and a number of incidents dealt with,without any issues. Nice to meet officers from Cumbria Police in the city centre on a training session, they were all keen to assist our team 👏.
