Focus mode to me is the single most destructive feature the game haa ever introduced. This alone reduce so many skill ceiling of many weapons.

That one comment making up scenario about speedrunner telling them guard/guard up is not necessary for optimal DPS is so golden like bro are you hallucinating or something. No legit speedrunner will tell you that. Many Charge Blade/Lance runs use them for example

Too many people equate every meta chaser/elitist as a "speedrunner" while in reality it couldn't be further from the truth. Most speedrunner ain't going around telling others how to play or if the armor set you're using is optimal. We mostly compete among ourselves
I dislike the dominance of speedrun perspective in MH. “Guard/Guard Up is a useless skill” It is? “Well it takes up a slot that could be used for more DPS, so just don’t get hit.”

This is exactly what I mean when I say Sunbreak gameplay is fast pace and skillfull. So many of these punish are just so damn cool and showcase the creativity and effoirt these runners have to lab all this out. I love Sunbreak with all my heart man
The best new world gameplay out of a three in my opinion. It is both fast pace and skillfull. Monster movement are tough but fair and you get to do many cool punish and get rewarded for doing it right.
So what made Sunbreak an amazing Monster Hunter game for you? Was it the maps? The characters? The story? Or the monsters?
Another day, another cheater exposed MH speedrunning scene is beyond help at this point.
I have to be honest with myself in order to move forward... I don't like Monster Hunter Wild as I thought I would be. Something about it makes me less inclined to play and grind for long...I really want to love this game but right now I don't even bother with TU1 :(
