Capital Forms

@CapitalForms

LAHP funded postgraduate seminars in the economic humanities.

We’re sorry to say that the remaining events for Capital Forms will not run as planned due to COVID-19. Instead we’re postponing our final reading group on ‘Debt’ and the symposium to autumn. Many thanks for your understanding and stay well!

We’re sorry to say that this session is cancelled. Take care everyone and we’ll be in touch about our April reading group in due course.

The next meeting of our reading group will be Wednesday 18 March, and we’ll be talking about ‘Money.’ As this falls on a strike day planned at QMUL we will cancel if the strike is still on. Watch this space for updates. You can register here: eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%…

This looks pertinent given the first @CapitalForms discussion last week. Many thanks to @SSolakidi.

This is a taster from the Beethoven-DHL (!) touring exhibition opening tomorrow at the Barbican. It seems highly relevant to the Logistics Reading Group

Thanks to everyone who came to our first reading group last night on logistics. Some great conversation about empire, networks and systems, queer theory, advertising, nature documentaries and more. See you 12 February for our next conversation about Labour.

Getting in the spirit for tomorrow evening @CapitalForms reading group by watching this sinister UPS ad on logistics m.youtube.com/watch?v=VCh6Hn… - so many things to say about this #economichumanities

Our first reading group convo will focus on LOGISTICS—probably the least familiar of the topics we’ll be covering, but one that draws together a range of concerns and ideas, and will set us up for the discussions to follow. No prior special knowledge of logistics is needed btw!
