Fantastic new paper forthcoming at American Journal of Sociology that features an RCT on white Americans receiving genetic ancestry tests. Lots of interesting findings, but the one that stands out for me: ancestry tests *do not* cause changes to how whites racially self-identify
Decline in wage inequality in the US: ~40% of the rise in the wage gap between the 10th and 90th percentile in 1980-2019 was reversed in the past three years. Tight labour markets do play a role.
