Use your voice to make the #PerpetratorPay by emailing your MP & [email protected] by tomorrow supporting the only viable solution @CambridgeAction @EssexCAG @cladding_crisis @CladdingPeabody @360Castlefield @CastlegateMCR @McrCladiators @OlympicHomes_AG

(TOMORROW AFTERNOON) The #PerpetratorPaysAmendment is unveiled by the Earl of Lytton. The government have the opportunity to accept the EXTRA MONEY this will bring in and the LASTING REFORM it will secure. Say YES not NO! @team_greenhalgh @gtomlin

No Florrie's Law Cap ...builders found legally liable should be made to pay in full where they are at fault to bring the most money in to protect LH from ALL costs of buildings of ALL heights. @team_greenhalgh @michaelgove @for_e16 #PolluterPaysAmendment

Should residents of @PeabodyLDN flats keep paying for others mistakes? No! Our government and #peabody developers should do the right thing, legislate the #perpetratorpaysamendment save us all. Thank you @TedBaillieu 💚 for showing the UK govt and corp how things should be done

1. @ukcag @LondonCAG #EndOurCladdingScandal @LKPleasehold @EOCS_official @polluterpaysbsb @team_greenhalgh @NewhamWellness @DgLimited I am an observer from afar but it seems I have to spell it out. What's 'clear' is LKP have another agenda. Leasehold Reform!

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

Simple all leaseholders with a failing #buildingsafety flat are imprisoned missold victims with a worthless asset whose small savings have been drained. @TedBaillieu speaks the reality for our building. The agenda has been disappointingly experienced. Absurd.

LPK rightfully being called out for their own agenda. It’s been clear for a long time as they that been trying to undermine the bill to achieve their goal

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

Trouble is some see this as an opportunity for LH reform & not cost recovery. We want both

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

I wouldn’t leave it to this government to work anything out.

12. These are opinions of a far away observer asked in 2021 to join this discussion. I hope the UK takes the opportunity to do something that leads the world & changes construction industry culture for good. PS I am not a scientologist either!! The latest slur on PP supporters!

11. Much has been made of so called voluntary contributions from developments filling the funding gap. No D will make a VC w/o clear conditions. Meaning: * Caps * Exclusions * Indemnities * Period limitations * Tax effectiveness * No restraints etc It will be 100% $ calculated!

10. What I do know is this. * After nearly 5 years the Grenfell inquiry is still not complete. * Fires in high density buildings with defects continue * Public Safety & leaseholders must come first * Leasehold Reform - second

9. LKP also frequently claim to know what the Government is thinking. And despite claimed limitations on their activities, lobby MPs and Ministers. How that fits the mysterious, conflict riddled crop circle of influence being peddled here, I do not pretend to understand.

8. No amount of abuse, threats, intimidation of Ministers, belittling of professionals, misinformation, silencing of people or misrepresentation, will change the bottom line here. Innocent homeowners should not be paying to fix critical safety defects & the fix is critical.

7. At the same time those offering a critique of other proposals are demonised. One PP supporting leaseholder, seeking to repeat wins already achieved at their own development, is attacked publicly and privately & is now being systemically shunned. Why - lest he succeed!!

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

6. Again IMO, the one current proposal that is comprehensive, equitable and simple is PP. It minimises exclusions and maximises funding for remediation and public safety. It seems that prospect is enough to ensure PP has attracted the most attacks - personal, trivial & sinister!!

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

5. IMO the LKP view is that the BSB is in the way - of leasehold reform! Failure is the preferred outcome. But prioritising instead the capacity for funding leasehold reform means 'leaseholders keep paying' for building safety defects. And the bills will keep coming!

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

4. LKP even called for the BSB to be scrapped completely. A call that betrays LKP's preference and it appears their objective, for the BSB to fail completely. An exercise in noble failure if ever there was one. Homeowners should be very wary.

PeabodyCladdingResidents reposted

3. But on Building Safety and the BSB, LKP have feigned support for proposals (including the Govt's own amendments) which they know won't deliver the results needed, & then walked away! And they opposed, often in a shameful way, proposals, including PP, that might just deliver.
