It’s been 3 years since I went to @ChinnorRailway! Of course I had to bring 50021 & 50026 clothing to rep the group I’m with. Must say props to the volunteers and staff for bringing a massive gala! And was great meeting others also.
What has been somewhat nearly 2-3 years ever since I saw these liveries? For now… farewell. Thanks for the nostalgia over the years ever since I moved in the UK in 2007.
The last hurrah for the First Great Western blue livery? 5H71 Exeter TMD to Wolverton Works is penned in tomorrow (05/04) which should be 150238 heading for refurb works, in turn, losing the bright FGW blue and pink livery. 2E30 with 238, 249 & 266 this evening.
Ahh… the NSE days Lovely to be in London for 2 days after competing 40 odd teams in a court competition held by LSE university in Camden! Nothing beats seeing @Se_Railway 465908 after a nerve racking court session!
Night shunting using bardic lamps and train protection course complete! Happy to say have passed these courses above! Another achievement is the fact I can drop a buckeye but no progression yet on lifting them. As fireman says “practise makes perfect!”

The Scottish Government has announced a procurement to replace ScotRail's InterCity high-speed trains. A commercial tender will now be launched in the coming weeks, setting out timescales for the replacement. This is good news as we work towards a green and reliable railway.
I’m sorry that you may have missed the funeral This situation occurs because the railway is understaffed. Not the fault of the workers If a driver doesn’t take their break, then goes on to make a fatigue induced error that kills someone, they will go to jail
A whole group of us on a train to reach a funeral in Shropshire at 11am. An announcement has just informed us that we are being delayed because the driver needs a break. So glad they got their massive, budget-smashing, pay rise without any improvements to service.
