I just discovered that you can just run a ForEach loop over a Map in Blueprints... I used to always get the array of keys, loop over that and then find the value in the map🤦

As for all of my recent courses, the JRPG also comes with multiple inheritance charts to visualize the parent-child relationships. I hope that simple graphics like this help beginners understand inheritance and OOP a bit better.

When working on UI in Unreal I really like to break down the different parts like this in a tool like Figma, since it makes it a lot easier for me to reason about what logic should go where. I like to keep things modular and give each widget only very few responsibilities.

Finally released my Beginners Unreal Engine 3D Platformer course!! It's been in the works for over 4 months!



Did you know that you can just check the values of your Blueprint Variables while playing in editor, even for arrays and structs? You can also see the flow of execution and do many other things very easily with the BP debugger :) Full tutorial: youtu.be/YBuw7JeGt6w


Now that PaperZD is ready for UE 5.7, I also just confirmed that all of my advanced 2D templates also work in that version! No need to get any new files, can just drag them over from 5.6 and it all works!
