I don’t make a lot of money through the ad revenue on here but whatever I do make during this current period I will donate to a hurricane relief charity to help those in Jamaica. Horrible situation unfolding there. You can help simply by leaving a 👍🏻

Safe home, Jim Lovell! We were so fortunate to know you.
For all you folks that use radar apps and weather model data, this is potentially the end of easy access to those products, I am not exaggerating.
This is taking the knees out from our field in realtime. Means products like MRMS will become unavailable and will likely affect warning dissemination and model data availability. This is *very* bad.

Peoples lives aren’t metaphors. Demand that our elected officials talk about our lives & their godawful plans in plain honest language, because it’s our lives. We aren’t a house remodeling job, we aren’t a car engine to tinker with, we aren’t a balance sheet. We are the people.
No growling, please!
If you stop to watch one thing today, let this be it.
A widespread, and potentially significant, severe weather episode is expected on Sunday (3/30) across portions of the Middle and Lower MS, OH, and TN Valleys. All severe hazards are possible, including very large hail, strong tornadoes, and swaths of damaging wind gusts.

So grateful for the expert public service from the dedicated National Weather Service, broadcast meteorologists, and other public servants for standing watch and warning us.
Over 1000 (filtered) severe weather reports Friday 3/14 to Sunday 3/16. For context. Over the last 10 years March has averaged 1173 filtered reports for the entire month.
Shoutout to the folks at the Storm Prediction Center and folks at the various National Weather Service offices impacted by severe weather on Friday. Your jobs are vital and you are valued.
Are you new to Alabama? Or are you visiting? We have the risk of severe weather at times tomorrow-Sunday AM. Watches & warnings will likely be needed. Watches & warnings are issued by county, so it is important you know what county you are in & the counties around you.
