Here's a dot map of the 1960 presidential election in Arkansas. JFK won the state by a comfortable margin due to netting a good number of votes from Little Rock and most of the rural eastern counties, which overcame Nixon's strength in Fayetteville.

Boomers retired (or semi-retired) so they stopped complaining about income tax and all the other taxes which come with being an active, productive citizen Now they complain about what is essentially the only tax they still have to pay
Ron DeSantis on property taxes: "If I go to Best Buy and buy a TV, I pay a sales tax—but I don’t keep paying taxes on it year after year!"
Scene: Tomorrow morning, at breakfast A.J. Pierzynski, to no one in particular: You have to bunt here
Again, how are you supposed to get Democratic votes for a deal on government spending when the Republicans keep promising to backtrack on elements of the deal via party-line votes?
👀 On this press call with the House Freedom Caucus, Johnson tells reporters: "We worked on rescissions, and there'll be more of that, we expect, in the days ahead."
Yeah they saw Republicans do it over and over again with zero electoral repercussions lol.
As long as I've been covering Congress, Democrats always said you can't use shutdowns as a negotiating tool. But now, they've embraced the shutdown, and Congress may never go back. msnbc.com/msnbc/news/dem…
My god this Phillies team. Finally some baseball that doesn’t make me want to claw my eyes out.🔔
I've learned a lot about voting from the last election. Apparently you can vote for whatever you want, you put your desires on a vision board, enter a voting booth, keep your intentionality focused on what fulfills and inspires you personally, and then pick any name on there.
Zach Bryan beef aside, this is absolutely disgusting propaganda I was shocked and horrified as a kid when my dad took us to the Japanese internment camp at Manzanar - couldn’t believe we would treat our own people that way I didn’t vote for this
If Republicans don’t want to make concessions on rescissions/impoundment or health care spending, they could just end the shutdown by passing a CR on a party-line vote. Literally nothing is stopping them.
