UBI is a reorientation of power. It's endlessly frustrating to me for those like Matt to not see this, even now. Bezos supports UBI because he's smart enough to know that Amazon needs customers. Matt doesn't support UBI, because he doesn't recognize UBI as strike power for all.
What we need is a reorientation of power, not a left-flavored form of charity. There's a reason Jeff Bezos support UBI, and it's not because he is into equality and democracy.
