***UPDATE*** Mountain Rescue The patient has been successfully rescued and is being transported to the hospital for further evaluation. A press release will be sent out shortly. A strong job by multiple agencies, VECC, DHFD, PCSO SAR, PPFD, AZDPS Ranger 2 and Border Patrol.
****Mountain Rescue**** DHFD crews are responding to Star Pass Trail for a rescue. Please be aware of the emergency vehicle responding to the scene.
The Twin Tension Rope System is used for lifting a load or person. It employs two separately tensioned ropes to provide redundancy and enhance control during decent operations. It is ideal for high-angle rescues, urban operations and confined space entry.
Drexel Heights Fire District has received new Tactical Rescue Gear over the past week. A new AZ Vortex has been placed into service. Its use is for high-angle and complex terrain environments, such as confined space, cliffs, mines and industrial rescue.

2:30 am, DHFD crews responded for a rollover MVA. On scene crews discovered a 2 vehicle MVA with one vehicle on fire. Portions of Ajo was closed at CDO to allow crews to operate safely as they treated 2 patients and extinguished the fire. #dontdrivedistracted #drexelfire
Crews from DHFD responded for a medical problem in the Tucson Mountains. Assisted by PCSO and SARA, male patient was evaluated and assisted down the trail. Due to the location of the patient the call took nearly 3 hours to complete. #drexelfire #PCSO #azsara

On December 7, Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Please join DHFD as we honor those lost.
