my identity revolves around one man. His name is Jesus Christ.
I love that no matter a woman’s politics — whether she’s a tradwife giving her husband raw milk or a city lib girl who don’t need no man — they all fail the Bechdel test. Their identities still revolve around men, one way or another.
I’ve never understood the outrage from people that comes when women who lived promiscuously turn to Christ and become abstinent, conservative and pro family. Isn’t that the whole point of the cross? To save that which was lost..?
I don’t fear death but I fear a meaningless death. Like imagine being taken out by a Honda Civic doing a dumb U-turn. Grave concern.
Masculinity isn’t the problem. The absence of it is. We mocked traditional men. We dismantled the family. We told women they don’t need men.. Then wondered why everyone feels lost. Men need purpose. Women need protection. Families need each other!!
I hate that my vision for the life I know I’m supposed to be living doesn’t match my current reality. I desperately want to move but I know I have to set the right foundations in place and sometimes that’s hard.
This world is spiritually sick. Jesus Christ is the answer.
