Following my previous tweet, decided to look at how schools' P8 would change should disadvantaged students be compared to national disadvantaged and non to non. Strongly believe the DfE should have a measure like this in the performance tables…minsthorpecc-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal…
Done some work comparing Progress 8 Scores with IDACI/Disadvantaged. Data sourced from Performance Tables/IMD. See how it looks for your school. minsthorpecc-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal…

Had a productive day supporting a school in Staffordshire today. Proving I can perform on a cold, wet Tuesday in Stoke ⚽️
Here we go again. AQA emailing at 9.04pm to say we can finally access their portal to upload evidence. Our "48 hour" window ends at 10am Wednesday. Shoddy.
Well done son 💪
Passing the buck. Just the support that schools and colleges need right now 🙄
An update on this month’s vocational and technical exams, in light of the evolving public health measures:
The time of year when this PowerPoint slide come out. The title makes me laugh every time @DataEducator
If you have Post-16 provision, please read this urgently. Make sure you don't miss out on funding. The DfE seem to be keeping this rather low key by asking providers to opt-in and by not contacting providers directly. Deadline today!
There is a form on DfE Sign in that needs signing if you are a centre with post-16 provision and wish to access the tuition fund, it’s under information exchange - documents - revenue funding - opt in form. Deadline is tomorrow (16th). It details how much you will receive.
Better late than never I guess. Pleased for the students despite another ludicrously late announcement. Impossible job for some schools to now have the grades removed in time for tomorrow.
I really hope that vocational subjects are not forgotten amongst all this fallout. There have been some worryingly low grades awarded to external units that schools and colleges had no control over.
Sky News understands the Government is due to make an announcement on GCSE and A-Level results in England later today For more on this and other news visit news.sky.com
For various reason, I was against following Scotland and just awarding CAGs. Now it's the only way out of this horrific mess.
Ofqual adviser @ProfCoe: 'Schools are tearing their hair out at their inability to support students who have had their lives wrecked and they don’t know what the process is because we haven’t had that guidance. The whole thing is an absolute shambles' schoolsweek.co.uk/ofqual-adviser…

Our students invested in their education. They believed if they worked hard and applied themselves they would get what they deserved. They trusted the system. For too many you have destroyed any confidence and security they had in their future. This is wrong. We will fight this.

I know it still wouldn't have been perfect but couldn't the changes to CAGs have been capped at 1 grade either way? At least we wouldn't have ridiculous stories of grade C's being altered to grade U's. Seems sensible to me but what do I know 🤷♂️
BREAKING: 11th hour concession from @GavinWilliamson. Pupils can opt to take A level or GCSE mock results if higher than grades received from exam boards
Small sample size but @PearsonEdexcel just pip @ocrexams to take the unofficial award of best overall centre grade/rank system 🏆 Wonder what it was that made these 2 way ahead of AQA and WJEC...🤔
We've now had over a week to input centre grades/ranks. Please only answer if you've used multiple exam boards and portals. In your opinion, which exam board has produced the best overall system for entering grades/ranks?
