Imagine how well Brentford could've done if they played in both halves and not just the 2nd!
Wake up call for City. Wolves game lured us in to a false sense of security. As bad as City were, I thought Spurs were better in every department. Worrying signs in some of our play - weak in battles, losing 50/50s and second balls. Long season ahead.
City losing due to catastrophic errors, but thats not why they're not in this. Terrible play all over the pitch.
Serious question: is there a better midfield 3 than Rodri, Nico G, Reijnders?
Reijnders is going to be a problem for this league. He's not had the best 35 minutes, but the last 3 have been sensational.
Wolves offside but getting closer to them scoring... Not sure what isn't qutie right with City as I think they're playing ok. Missing some creativity perhaps?

I'm a fan of Ortega but this is genuinely the ideal outcome. Trafford to understudy Ederson for a season with a clear pathway to being our long-term no.1. Thrilled to see James returning to the club, he absolutely loves City and is a fantastic talent.

Can't help but feel there's an injustice with Henderson not seeing red. A dream half for Palace but City once again the makers of their own downfall. Why on earth Haaland passes up the opportunity on the pen is beyond me. City still in this but its looking to perfect for Palace..
WEMBLEY! Second half was so much better, still flawed but restricted Bou to very little attacking threat. Marmoush on at the right time (even if for the wrong reason). O'Reilly excellent, Kovacic also great today I thought.

More of the same from "this" City. Most damning thing I can say is that the side doesn't even look coached. Haaland needed to at least bury the pen, arguably even score his next chance. Nunes absolutely brain-dead to make that pass. Our most trusted players letting us down again.
What a frustrating first half. I don't think 2 nil is a fair reflection, but equally, City just aren't tight enough in defence and struggled often in transition. Khusanov and Doku stand out for me. Haaland is missed here, almost no presence in their box.
Been down this road before. These mental lineups rarely work (sorry Pep) I'll be happy to proven wrong!

Oh no. Maybe I do like VAR. City would've had 2 penalties in the last few minutes with it.
I need to see KDB on. Marmoush is picking up great positions between the defence and our midfield is allergic to playing him through.
