Utility comes from membership in the community. Membership has value if the community has a one commandment, a moral premise it believes in that society at large does not. A well-chosen commandment gives membership an everlasting form of value that can’t run out, unlike money.
A lot of web3 communities struggle to provide utility from the get that has value and even solves problems. It’s like they’re following an uniform roadmap, prior to the “real utility” (hopefully unique) in their vision, so they offer a “fix”.
