A @1Password families plan is still one of the best security things you can do with your money. Up to 5 people (more for $1 each per month) and a secure way to store and share not just passwords, but all the other stuff families like to keep protected.

Good thread about shock doctrine in Texas. I would only add: They are doing this b/c they are scared. They know this horror reveals the reality of climate crisis and the extreme vulnerability of fossil fuel infrastructure. They are trying to get out front of #GreenNewDeal calls.

Lets be clear on what’s happening here: in the middle of severe snow storms & power outages Texas Republican officials are making a move to bolster the oil/gas industry and strip the state of its renewable energy sources. This is what @NaomiAKlein has called “disaster capitalism”

Finally, now I know which air quality index to trust > WAQA Looking forward to a WADE / WAQA app to replace the conflicting info from all my other apps. Add this to your iOS Home Screen: fortress.wa.gov/ecy/enviwa/Mic… h/t @Curtineer @jseattle

On Ecology's map, the values are from the Washington Air Quality Advisory index, or WAQA, not the national AQI. The categories are the same, but WAQA is more protective of human health. More info - ecology.wa.gov/Research-Data/…

Our work mainly impacts air quality in the built environment, but we care equally for waters in #SalishSea region. h/t @geologywriter

Decades ago, Tacoma's waters were considered a dead zone. It was a popular place to moor boats b/c people knew they wouldn't have to clean the barnacles and mussels off the hulls of their boats. Now, these waters are full of life, and we plan to keep moving that progress forward.
