It is true that EVs are not new and that batteries were not great, but the main reason EVs did not win the race in those days were the state of the electric grid. Not all homes were electrified, and the ones that were could only power a few bulbs.
Incase anyone didn’t realise, electric cars are nothing new. Shame 80+ odd years of development were wasted while the idea of burning stuff was developed until the point of utter complication before going back and working on it again.
