Doctors are also consumers. I have a 25K per year plan for my family with a $7000 deductible. I have used a cash model to pay for labs for over 5 years rather than getting ripped off by the health plan. Both use labcorp. Cash 1/3 the cost.
You should definitely pay with cash, and you can use the following sites to do so: For imaging: radiologyassist.com For labs: laboratoryassist.com For drugs: CostPlusDrugs.com Get yourself a good DPC physician, and this will save you a huge amount of money. Take…
Unfortunately, the ACA did not create affordable care. The ACA is disadvantageous to both patients and physicians. The only winner in the ACA are the insurance Cos, and hospitals. This is an ugly stalemate. Only benefit is that its brought to light how bad the ACA turned out.
Thanks to Republicans’ attacks on health care, Americans will face an average increase of 114% on their insurance premiums. I took to the House Floor today to demand Republicans stop playing politics with your health care and work with Democrats to extend the ACA tax subsidies…
I've discussed a similar concept with the baseball community, UCL. Inject post summer season prior to taking a month + off from throwing.
The majority (75%) of ACL tears are non-contact. That means the ligament was already significantly loose and weakened before the event that caused the tear. In the off-season, especially for high-level players, I would recommend that they consider re-stabilizing the ACL with…
That is some borderline Bo Jackson stuff. Insane
Lindsey Vonn retired from skiing for five years, got titanium implants in her knee, and turned 41 two months ago. Today, she won her first World Cup downhill in seven years and first since her surgery.

My daughter went 0-100 w football as a Frosh. Stressful night watching her favorite player @dlsfootball17 alumni @HenryTootoo1 get the win vs her hated Chiefs.
Good for Jeff Kent. Only 6 votes each for Don Mattingly and Dale Murphy? Insane. Top players in each of their respective decades. Respect. mlb.com/news/contempor…

Kent, all-time HR leader at 2B, earns Hall election on Contemporary Era ballot
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Hard-nosed to his core and one of the most prolific run producers the second-base position has ever seen, Jeff Kent spent years wondering if Cooperstown would take notice. On Sunday,...
All class. Always. @DaleMurphy3 belongs in Cooperstown.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to my family and fans for their overwhelming support. Words truly cannot describe how incredible the past few months have been! I am so grateful for all of your videos, stories, comments, thoughts and every other way you have supported…
Well, that is a #Healthcare truth bomb from @mcuban if I've ever heard one. Both sides of the government love to "fix" things. Right indication, wrong technique (fix). Like patient care, someone may need surgery. If you do the wrong surgery, it does not help.
If you plan on the existing big insurance carriers offering plans to retailers and associations, this plan will be garbage. The big insurance carriers will not only do what they do today, they will create more information asymmetry for the associations and retailers than what…
The Hall of Fame Era Committee meets this Sunday, December 7th. Dale Murphy needs 12 of 16 votes. You never know who will see this and their vote may be the one that puts Murph over the top. Please retweet if you love Murph and believe he deserves to be honored in Cooperstown.
Thanks for the summary

Congrats De La Salle Spartans. Won 33rd straight CIF North Coast Section title. Even the way smaller CIF sections can’t come close to that record. Pittsburg played well and will be a threat to win a CIF state title in lower division.
Couple more CIF football playoff notes: Irvine, which plays at Brea Olinda in D8, is trying to reach the CIF finals for the first time since 2000 when the Vaqs won the title under Terry Henigan. Beckman trying to reach CIF finals for first time since 2011. @OCSportsZone
What will happen? -quality -efficiency -access -safety -lower cost -Most importantly, patient satisfaction. -Bonus, physician work/career satisfaction.
What would happen if policymakers simply let physicians build? Dr. Anthony DiGiorgio says it best: “Give us our economic freedom. Get rid of Certificate of Need laws. End the moratorium on physician-owned hospitals. Just let doctors build.” The truth is, physicians don’t…
💯 1. The credit risk of the deductible 2. The float for Pre Auth denials/delays 3. The doctor/admin cost to appeal PA 4. The underpayments by carriers of contracted rates. 5. The admin costs of processing, that changes ever year. 6. All the consultants they pay re the above
IMHO , you are missing what made the costs so high. It starts with the insurance plan. These are the costs providers take risk on and shouldn’t : 1. The credit risk of the deductible 2. The float for Pre Auth denials/delays 3. The doctor/admin cost to appeal PA 4. The…
