Disappointed, saddened and angered that the PCs voted against recognizing September 30th as a day to honour Truth and Reconciliation in Manitoba. I know many families who will be hurt by this decision. Progress only comes with deliberate action.

Demoralizing! 66% of beds filled with admitted patients. Wait times over 12 hours for 25% of patients. Just another Tuesday. At least we have a few more nurses today.

Agree with this thread on almost all points. The quibbles are only due to regional differences that are to be expected due to lack of proper funding and practices.
Some observations on community palliative care (long list) 1) Without District Nurses there is NO chance of delivering high quality palliative care at home. 2) Families and those in a caring role are the “care package” 3) Hospital admission is often very appropriate
This article applies to Canada too - access to quality palliative and hospice care is a right, not a luxury. We are long overdue to make #palliativecare an essential service under the Canada Health Act @CanadianHPCAssn @CSPCP_SCMSP theguardian.com/commentisfree/…
