Cannot reiterate enough that @sciencemuseum practice of low pay (paying eg. Explainers, C.£17k pa) squeezed many of my talented friends (and me) out of the museum to other jobs; or otherwise has made them rely on partners to make up missing funds for London living costs ✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼

I rarely owned books as a child, instead I went to my local library. It was there that I developed my love of reading, & later writing. It makes me sad that children might grow up never having a local library. All libraries need to be saved. When they go, they go forever.
Today a 5yr old brought a fragment of #Carboniferous #plant into the #museum for us to identify. Along with dad & grandad, we ended up having a good old nosey at some in the Museum's collection - here's just a few 320 million year old ferns for your #fossilfriday delight

This is what computational design is about: automating tedious tasks to deliver efficient, optimised solutions. I've never understood why it's taken the industry so long to develop such tools.

The £13m for parks and green spaces actually works out at about £481 per park (and that’s not counting green spaces, play spaces community gardens etc ) Not much of an ‘investment’ is it ?
In other words 1/3rd of what they spent not doing the Garden Bridge (which would have had 1/2 a football pitch of greenery). FOR THE WHOLE COUNTRY
