Happy belated #FossilFriday! Very pleased to give another talk for volunteers at the museum, which should help them have more in-depth conversations with visitors while looking at this beast - Toyotamaphimeia taiwanicus, a 7-m long crocodile from the Pleistocene of Taiwan!

#FossilFriday Jebel Irhoud 1 (left) and 2 (from Morocco), dated to about 300.000 years old. Probably basal H. sapiens, 2 is larger, higher and more robust, and may derive from a male individual

A tribute to Ornithopods today, for #FossilFriday Here's the @ROMtoronto 's #Parasaurolophus holotype.

Great new paper by Mannion & Moore 2025 on diplodocoid sauropods for #FossilFriday I love their latest phylogeny as it certainly supports the mass extinction of sauropods at the end of the Jurassic that is so well documented in eastern Utah. tandfonline.com/doi/epdf/10.10…

(Part 1/2) Happy #FossilFriday! Meet Brontotholus harmoni (MOR 480), a new pachycephalosaurid from the Cretaceous Two Medicine Formation of Montana.

Tylosaurus? - for the future research. It was covered with lots of gypsum and we didn't think it would be such a nice specimen. Until cleaning, you'll never know. I really enjoy prepping job. #FossilFriday #金曜日だから化石貼る

Haven’t done a proper #FossilFriday in ages. But take a look at another archaeocete from Peru. Looks like any other average basilosaurid, except that this lad has a stupidly young age that you will not believe.

It's complete! Enzo the ichthyosaur is now fully on display in the Centre after being discovered just a year ago. A whole lot of work went into this one by Chris and Alex Moore, and Nic Reast and it looks fantastic! #FossilFriday

Happy #fossilfriday! Today I want to share one of my favorite depictions of Camarasaurus. Artwork by Bill Berry

Our 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘶𝘴 fossil got some TLC! The armored aetosaur roamed Texas during the Triassic, 227 & 237 million years ago. This fossil, found in Howard County, got a gentle dusting as part of a regular cleaning of specimens in the Paleontology Gallery. #FossilFriday
