Opportunistic by @lidl_ireland & no doubt the others will follow. The milk price paid to the farmer has dropped based on global commodity markets. Costs haven't, especially for 365 day liquid production. This is not a good news or cost of living story @joemagraollaigh

Continued success to Aldi. However sadly I don't read of a commitment to pay a fair price to farmers for their produce. Costs have gone up significantly inside the farm gate. I hope the retailers are willing to ensure farm families remain viable.

In a new twist, European nat gas values have dropped significantly. At today's values, most N #fertilizer producers are profitable. However, they need nat gas to stay here/lower AND global markets to hold. Regardless, this is a bearish signal and a good start to 2022!!
