Whenever I look at Dogger, I feel like the world is a better and kinder place.
Once there was a soft brown toy called Dogger. One of his ears pointed upwards and the other flopped over. His fur was worn in places because he was quite old. He belonged to Dave.

Eric Carle, wherever you are I hope you've also become a beautiful butterfly. Thank you for being such a gorgeous creator.
In 1994, we spoke to Eric Carle about his work and his approach to children’s literature. “The success of my books is not in the characters or the words or the colors, but in the simple, simple feelings,” he said. nytimes.com/1994/04/14/gar…
The most perfect reminder of the wonderful silliness of people. I cry-laughed for the first time in days. Thank you, thank you for this.

With everything in the world as it is, I've found myself hesitant to blow my own trumpet. But, heck, couldn't we all use something to chase away bad dreams? And @katie_harnett's illustrations are warm, funny, kind, and oh just everything! live-inspired.com/catalog/produc…
So sad to hear this news. Back in my editorial assistant days we made many, many printings of our books for Bookstart. Giving free books to children was the loveliest thing to do for the world. Thank you, Wendy.
'If you can read, you can do anything.' We are so sorry to hear that children's book pioneer and Bookstart founder Wendy Cooling has died. She was an incredible person who did so much to help children - her legacy is huge. Thank you, Wendy. booktrust.org.uk/news-and-featu…
