There were really two supreme evils of the 20th century, and the source of many problems of the post-war era is that we only learned the lesson of one of them.

In high school, you get 155 hours on Hitler, 3 minutes on Stalin, and nothing on Pol Pot. Nothing on Mao. Barely a mention of Fidel Castro. It's striking that we don’t learn about Mao or Pol Pot—despite the scale of their crimes. Mao killed more people than any dictator in…

We’re going to need a Polymarket for Greta’s next thing.

Revealed preference that they view political opposition as worse than child rape.

This is Judge Jamie Sawyer. He jailed the three Epping protesters to LONGER sentences than the migrant rapist who sparked the disorder. He has a Master’s degree in human rights and is a dedicated Labour voter. #TwoTierJustice

Man guys, isn’t it so weird that the exact moral teachings of Christianity and Jesus Christ seem to be the basic and common sense morality of Western society?

It’s also just that Jesus’ teachings are just very basic morality and common sense, a child could understand it

In the coming days, droves of people will openly celebrate these murders on social media and even call for more. It’ll be a test of Keir’s commitment to arresting people for “inciting racial hatred”.

This was a vile terrorist attack that attacked Jews, because they are Jews. Antisemitism is a hatred that is rising, once again. Britain must defeat it, once again. To every Jewish person in this country: I promise that I will do everything in my power to guarantee you the…

Nothing like firsthand experience. The millions of deaths from communism is a statistic, a failed community garden is a tragedy.

Generations ago it was widely expected that labor-saving technology would result in a 5-hour work week. What happened? The answer is that it did happen, it's just that the leisure is not evenly distributed. Every Western country maintains a vast population of parasites, who…

The “average person” wants to get what they want without regard to how well the system works. If they’re rich they want prices. If they’re poor, lotteries or “concert stamps”. If they’re fanatical, “proof of fandom”. If they’re high on the oppression ladder, “intersectionality”.

The average person does not want everything in human experience managed via a price mechanism, as much as economists seem to think otherwise.

Trump using the weight of FCC to censor ABC/Kimmel is wrong. Speaking of which, you don’t really care about free speech unless you defend it on behalf of your political opponents. The window for a leftist to demonstrate this commitment to principle was 2020-2024. This window…

As a Dawkins-era atheist I underestimated Christianity’s role as a civilisational operating system. I took its moral foundations for granted, assuming they were so self-evident that all humans would reach them once basic needs were met.
