Building AI apps? You need sync.

Tanstack DB is a reactive client store for building super fast apps on sync. Based on a TypeScript implementation of differential dataflow, it's type-safe, declarative, incrementally adoptable and insanely fast 🔥
TanStack DB is now in BETA! We’ve been working on TanStack DB, an embedded, reactive client database for TanStack Query, and are proud to announce today that with the 0.1 release that it's now in BETA!
🧵The Sync for Agents lineup at @sync_conf is 🔥 with @leeb from @OpenAI , @swyx from @cognition, and @threepointone from @Cloudflare.
AI and data infra events in SF - This week I’ll be at @smalldatasf and @mastra’s Typescript AI conf. Next week I’ll be at @sync_conf and satellite events.

While we're all over here distracted with server/client web framework stuff, TanStack DB is stealthily cranking out some of the coolest features. If it weren't for Start being in the last mile, I'd be heads down on DB with Kyle and Sam.
New feature for TanStack DB — Paced Mutations. Perfect for sliders, auto-save forms, etc where you want to immediately show optimistic updates but control how often changes are persisted. Built on the awesome TanStack Pacer library
Come along if you're at @QCon, I'm talking about the future of front-end beyond reactivity and client-side state management. qconsf.com/presentation/n…
> Ensuring reliability, durability, and smooth UX across thousands of concurrent sessions is where the real engineering happens. That’s the engineering we’ve been doing at @ElectricSQL — reliable message delivery, instant reactive UX, unlimited concurrency.
Most people overcomplicate Agents. They're not magic. They're just scaffolding that helps an LLMs do economically valuable work. Here's what happens when you run an Agent: > The agent builds context (system/user messages, chat history, memory, state) > Sends it to the model >…
I'm really looking forward to @sync_conf I'll be in SF for the whole week, do reach out if you want to grab a coffee and chat about sync, reactive client stores, IVM, differential dataflow, @ElectricSQL, @tan_stack DB, PGlite, or anything else!
The panel at Sync Conf 2025 brings together @tannerlinsley, @jamesacowling , @schickling and @aboodman for a deep dive into challenges and tradeoffs between the technical approaches being explored in sync today.

Awesome news of @supabase moving more Sync-native. Looking forward to collaborating with @ElectricSQL 🔥
@supabase has acquired Triplit, an offline-first database @matthew_linkous is joining to work on integrations. We will open source everything & Matt will spend time documenting the patterns used. We hope this knowledge will spark new ideas in the offline-first community
Yesterday @en_JS showed React Fir @reactjs conf - an experimental reactivity engine. The important take away was that it's fine-grained reactivity in *external stores* that will bring the next big step in UI performance. That's what @tan_stack DB brings 🧵
It was agonizing to choose from among the 34 excellent submissions, but here are the four talks selected from our CFP process!
We wrote a new mutations guide for TanStack DB! The information was scattered around but we wanted a single place to explain DB's philosophy and APIs around mutations tanstack.com/db/latest/docs… Hope it's useful and let us know if there's anything still not clear!

James Arthur @thruflo is building @ElectricSQL, the sync engine behind @TanStack DB and @elixirphoenix. At Sync Conf 2025, he’ll kick things off with an intro on why sync matters for AI apps and agentic systems, including a demo of sync-based software in action.
How to use TanStack DB to build reactive, offline-ready React apps - LogRocket Blog blog.logrocket.com/tanstack-db-ux
I've written a blog post about my starter project with @ElectricSQL, @tan_stack and Elixir Phoenix. This is the first in a multi part series, where I will explain how to use ElectricSQL for multi-tenant apps. Link below.
How fast are live queries in @tan_stack DB? This query with two joins and over 100k rows executes in under 1ms for the initial run. Updating a row in the source collection is reflected in the results in just *10 microseconds*! 🚀
Live queries in @tan_stack DB are incremental - they are maintained, rather than re-run, when data changes. It does this with differential dataflow / DBSP. Usually this tech trades fast updates for a slower start. 🧵 on how we made *both* initial and update runs lightning fast!
