I know this is an amazing business flex... but does it strike anyone else as immoral? If I was a vendor waiting 163 days to be paid I'd be like, seriously, fuck these guys. I'm paying salaries, holding inventory, barely making ends meet, so they can sit on a £53m cash pile?

Last week @theSamParr shared Gymshark's financials. They're very impressive, but what stood out the most to me was the £53m cash pile. How could a bootstrapped eComm company w/ rapid growth have this much cash? Answer: a negative cash conversion cycle. Here's how it works 👇

A CEO’s first job is to get the company capitalized. A CEO’s second job is to recruit a team. A CEO’s third job is to provide them with clarity so they can solve their customers' problems. A CEO’s fourth job is to get out of the way until one of the above is no longer true.

If you think about productivity in terms of *time*, taking 30 minutes out of your busy schedule to mentor someone for free makes no sense. If you think about productivity in terms of *energy*, spending that time might give you that huge boost in motivation you needed.

1/ Most entrepreneurs start with one goal in mind: FREEDOM. If you truly value freedom, you should have one goal for your first company: Something that can produce $100-$200k of personal income. It can be boring and doesn't have to scale.
