Ex NHS CEO
@ExNHSCEO
CEO for far too many years. Trying to be positive, failing often, but still trying.

In this recent #CQCConnect #podcast episode, colleagues from across CQC discuss how we are realising our strategic ambitions by developing a new regulatory approach, taking on new powers at a system level and improving how we collect and use data buff.ly/3k3Qn6l
This is utter gibberish from a discredited fringe pseudo politician
In a crowded field this is the dumbest take yet. She obviously wants another Tory government. What a fool
When Keir Starmer talks about “reforming” the NHS he actually means a bigger role for the private sector
Superb point. Ambition and over confidence running well ahead of expertise and knowledge @wesstreeting
David Cameron thought Andrew Lansley knew what he was doing & didn't take enough notice until it was too late. Keir Starmer should be careful not to make the same mistake with Wes Streeting.
Hunt implemented austerity in the NHS with enormous success and then and still does hid behind the corrupt CQC. And yet some still say Hunt was a decent SoS. Lest we forget: our NHS crisis is the deadly legacy of George Osborne’s austerity theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

A deadly, avoidable crisis is under way, fuelled by NHS cuts, the neglect of social care, inequality and the soaring cost of living, says Guardian columnist Owen Jones

Yeah cool just self-refer to an internal-bleedingologist.
GREAT NEWS My campaign to limit the number of people retweeting this clip and causing any upset to Suella Braverman has made great progress I am now so confident that nobody will RT it that I am going to tag in @SuellaBraverman so she can see how well we're doing. Thank you.
Vote Tory and this is what you get. Blackpool and the Fylde have Tory MPs.
Reductions in the public health grant have been greatest in the most deprived areas. In Blackpool, ranked as the most deprived area in England, the per capita cut to the grant has been one of the largest at £42 per person. Read more: health.org.uk/news-and-comme…
Because @wesstreeting is all at sea. Lacks experience and judgement. Time for a change @Keir_Starmer . Btw I’ve been a member of the party since Wes was in primary school and 35 years in the NHS. ‘Producer interest’ what infantile nonsense

Prof Sir Mike Richards on why he joined CQC
What ever happened to this little fella? Malign though he was his arrogance and incompetence at the CQC was so extreme as to be comical.
Maggie Thatcher was the worst thing Ever to happen to British Society. Her economic & social policies destroyed the very heart of this nation, and turned us cynically against each other.
He really is a very nasty piece of work
Watching the worst political political broadcast in the history of party political broadcasts. Lamentable in every way
JR is now an occasional health policy guru
The government has announced more virtual beds and temporary NHS capacity to deal with the surge in demand. It needs to get on with a permanent increase in hospital beds with staff to support them.
A return to form here for JR. Evidence free assertions he is no position to make but does anyway. Comforting in a way
The government is right to talk to Unions about more pay for smarter working. It needs to clarify if it is now pro cost of living payments on top of this year’s settlements in the NHS. The NHS needs better senior management leadership to cut waiting lists and A and E waits.
Paging Philip Davies. This is what responsible politics looks like
Thank you to BOURNEMOUTH HOSPITAL for another very informative visit. Incredibly dedicated staff working against some huge short and long term challenges which we need to fix - not least the winter pressures, pay, recruitment and retention. Thank you for all your hard work.
In one direction I hope
1000 miles running this year. 1000 each year for the last three years. 3000+ in three years. #runningisgood
What on earth is going on? @JuliaHB1 making a rare excursion into good sense and decency. Can’t last
No it doesn't. The private health workers are largely trained by the NHS and top consultants take time away from NHS work to do private work at higher rates. Any service for the poor quickly becomes a poor service.
