Our work on Masonic is not finished. The approach to Fell Street in particular is insufficient and poses a challenge to all but the most confident riders. We look forward to working with @VallieBrownD5 and @sfmta_muni on addressing these design flaws quickly.

And with that, @sfbike staff is on their way back to the office to keep promoting the bicycle for everyday transportation. Taking the new Masonic bike lane, of course.
When I was Supervisor, I received more complaints about Masonic Avenue than any other street. I’m proud to have helped secure funding for the new Masonic Avenue, which is safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders.
Some of the most essential infrastructure improvements are the ones that most people do not see. Underneath the freshly paved and tree-lined Masonic Ave, we’ve installed new water mains and sewer lines — improvements that keep #SF safe & resilient.
